Do I worship a perfect and amazing God? Without hesitation, yes I do. Although I lack currency in God’s graceful monetary system, he gives me grace anyway. I worship the Lord for what A.W. Tozer deems his “infinitude.” God knows no boundaries, therefore, everything God does and is also knows no boundaries. This is one of the many reasons I worship Him. I don’t maintain a full understanding. Upon questioning, say we did know everything about God..what kind of god would he be? This is characteristic of faulty-ancient religions-small headed gods with little-to-do.
All this to tell you an amazing story that only be traced to God’s greatness.
As you know, I just moved to Nashville,TN about a month ago. I took a job as an electronics salesmen. I thought I would really like it and was looking forward to “moving up.” Sadly, I struggle through miserable days, and loathe getting up to go to work.
About a week and a half ago, I had begun to pray “Lord, please let me find something new, but if not, let me glorify you in this place.”
About a week later, I pulled into the parking lot of my apartment complex around 10 am. I open my door and a 14 month old boxer(the canine kind) jumps into my car and starts licking my face. This procuring little doggy belonged to gal by the name of Jill. Jill had been playing Frisbee with this pup in the grass by the parking lot. As you know, talking to strangers is no different than talking to a friend for me. After kicking the dust around a little, we got into a conversation about “what we do.” As it turns out, she works for a company that was hiring. Great pay, great benefits etc..I was a great fit for the job. I handed her my resume, and a week later I interviewed and received an offer!
Get from this story what you will. Hopefully you see evidence of God’s hand in my life. What an answered prayer.
